Ceramic

Retiring from full time employment in 1990, I became free to develop my sculptural ideas much further than before. I was at the time involved with ceramic as I had recently introduced it as a discipline into the Sculpture School at Norwich School of Art. As a process it was versatile, physical and hands on and suited my thinking at the time. However, clay’s limitations as a means of making wall hung works became increasingly obvious and I finally abandoned it for much more wide ranging materials.
